Falana with this statement clearly shows that he lacks basic knowledge of the law, even though an SAN. I was astonished that a person of his academic and Legal standing will say something absurd like this. Under the CFRN 1999 particularly under S. 36(12) nobody shall be punished for a criminal offence unless such is in a written law and the punishment is prescribed. Now look at S. 45 of the Armed Forces Act (about mutiny), section 37-38 of Criminal code on treason and treasonable felony which the punishment is DEATH, also look at section 410-412 of the penal code. Also look at the foundational section of Section1(2) of our constitution which forbids change of government through unauthorised means. Yet a supposed lawyer is vomitting this rubbish.

I think the cultural orientation of the region also contributes to that. I see many so-called educated people from North defending this early marriage thing all in the name that it′s allowed in their religion (Islam).

This is sad to read. Our officers are dying in the most tragic and gruesome way one can imagine. Yet we have individuals who are supporting these murders

The Senate is making a changing decision today. The decision they made today means only one thing that election result will always be manipulated. They refuse to allow real-time transmission of electoral results through electronic means. However, they retain the cause that allows INEC to decide.

Kwara is now another hotbed of banditry in Yoruba land, no thanks to their Emirs who allowed this. Now innocent people have to die for no justifiable cause. We read in the news that MiyetiAllah were in fact the ones abetting these criminals to be terrorising Kwara
