This renaming of UNIMAID is an error that shouldn′t be allowed to stand. Just imagine changing the name of Oxford University to Prince Charlse University, what happens to the age-old legacy? There′s legacy in name it′s like a trademark. UNIMAID 5 decades legacy is about to be erased by the offensive and unwise decision of Tinubu to rename the institution after Buhari. There′s University of Transportation Daura it′s just a new school and not reputable, it can be named after Buhari. These 1st Generation institutions like UNIMAID, UI, UNN, UNIILLORIN, UNICAL, UNIPORT, BUK, ABU, UDUS, OAU, UNIBEN, UNIJOS etc just name them are so reputable that changing their name is collapsing its legacies. This name change should be resisted by all, I so reject the decision of Tinubu as unwise and unreasonable.
