Nigeria has a cultural barrier inhibiting gender equality and growing above this cultural barriers has been issue, a very big issue because of low literacy level which is driving the cultural bias.

Government should handle the protesters with caution. Using violence may likely escalate the situation and make things worse. The government should engage the protesters and their organisers in a constructive dialogue.
