The magistrate is abusing the judiciary. Any such law that will compel the duo to marry under compulsion is contrary to S.38 CFRN 1999 and thus null and void. Kano state government with its radical laws under the name of Islam and morality if challenged in the face of the groundnorm will fail. The man has right to apply for Certiorari to quash the decision of the magistrate for fraud.

Today the Nigerian government reinforced the negative narrative that it has no regards for fundamental rights which are enshrined in Chapter IV of CFRN 1999.

Today harmless protesters were tortured which with tear gas and equally injured contrary to S. 34(1) CFRN 1999 which entails dignity of human person. Section 1 and paragraph(a) reads:

“(1) Every individual is entitled to respect for the dignity of his person, and accordingly -
(a) no person shall be subject to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment;“
