There′s something interesting about this case that gave me joy. It′s the fact that the Supreme court even after affirming that there′s no cause of action still went ahead to rule on the merit of the case. I′m so happy. Why and I happy? Precedent has been laid, today and this is a changing time for democracy in Nigeria, the Supreme Court has said that the power conferred on the President to declare emergency rule is discretional. Technically what Tinubu did was within the confines of law and it′s now a lawful thing for any government to do.
